ADA Compliance

Odd Ball Industries makes every effort to design its safety products in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. However, there are instances when the design requirement of ligature resistance is incompatible with ADA regulations. Fortunately, the ADA recognizes that there are occasions when safety concerns should result in exceptions to its requirements:

“A public accommodation may impose legitimate safety requirements that are necessary for safe operation. Safety requirements must be based on actual risks and not on mere speculation, stereotypes, or generalizations about individuals with disabilities.”
